Intrepidus Week 2021
We are delighted to be able to introduce you to ‘Intrepidus’: Stroud’s very own activities week. For Middle and Senior School, this will be taking place from Monday 21 June to Thursday 24 June 2021.
The week will have its own timetable consisting of activities from cookery and gardening to Forest school and country dancing! Our school motto, In Aeternum Intrepidus (Forever Undaunted), has inspired us to create a week that pushes children outside their comfort zone and into a world of curiosity, teamwork, being in nature and having as much fun as possible.
The Summer Term is usually a chance for children to enjoy residentials. With this in mind, we have invited Campfire Wild Adventures to join us for the week and spend a day and night with each school bubble. This means all children will have the opportunity to undertake some bushcraft activities and to camp overnight at school in tents on the field. We think this will be a wonderful opportunity for all children in Years 3 to 8 to enjoy some independence and experience the excitement of staying away from home, albeit in the familiarity of the school grounds.
The camp will include a range of bushcraft activities, teamwork opportunities and the chance for the children to cook their own food over a campfire they have made themselves! All food, equipment and age-related support will be provided. Stroud staff, including form tutors, will be camping with the children and joining in the activities alongside them for added familiarity and support.
All activities will be undertaken in bubbles with appropriate Covid precautions, in line with government guidelines at the time.
