Children have many outlets for dramatic fulfilment at Stroud. Drama is offered within the curriculum and all children take part in musical productions throughout the year.
Children relish the opportunity of performing on stage during our busy events calendar. These include Christmas plays, a Springburst concert, a charity concert and our annual carol service in Romsey Abbey.
Within the curriculum, children are involved in writing and performing history role plays, language plays and taking part in form assemblies. Drama is taught within the English curriculum up to Year 4 and as a separate subject from Year 5.
The summer plays involve all the children in the Senior School and they are productions of the highest quality, involving teams of parents and staff. Recent productions include Dr Doolittle, Fiddler on the Roof, Beauty and the Beast, Oliver and Honk!
