Each year our Year 8 students set off early in the Autumn term for a range of fieldwork activities, hiking, games, and running on the moors.
This September they explored the Burrator Reservoir, learnt about the large granite dam, and practised skimming stones. Princetown was extremely misty and atmospheric, a good day to find out more about the history of the prison. At Postbridge they visited the ancient clapper bridge and found out about the conservation work done by the NPA. They enjoyed drawing annotated field sketches of the bridge and admiring the spectacular views before setting off home, via Charmouth for fossil and treasure hunting.
