Educational Resources

Pupils have access to a wide range of high quality learning resources at Stroud. From sewing machines to 3D printing, there are many resources to enhance pupils’ learning.

We have a dedicated cookery room, music room, art room, DT room, science laboratory and library. The Pre-Prep also has their own dedicated ICT suite and libraries.

The outside environment is a wonderful educational resource at Stroud.  Pupils have supervised access to the school’s Forest School sites, pond, woodland stream and built raised beds for growing vegetables.  Pupils learn about our school bee hives and use our alpaca’s wool in art activities.

In school, we have banks of iPads that are used to support your child’s learning. Your child will use the iPads for a range of subjects including Science, Maths, English and will have the ability to use specially selected apps to aid their learning and development.  Interactive whiteboards, virtual reality headsets and green screens are also available to enhance pupils’ learning.

The Andrew Sanger-Davies Multi-Purpose Hall includes a full size sports hall, large viewing gallery, changing rooms, staging and lighting. A high standard of specification has been used throughout; it is used extensively for sport, drama, assemblies and community opportunities.

Within the house itself is a well stocked fiction and reference library, an extensive Science laboratory and an Information Technology room. External buildings include individual cookery, art, technology and music rooms. Within the grounds is our Millennium conservation area including two ponds with dipping platforms and timber walkways over marshy areas giving children the chance to study the natural environment at first hand.

The house stands in 22 acres of grounds which include playing fields, a heated swimming pool, tennis courts, an all weather riding arena, stables, woodland, a narrow river, a natural pond and gardens.
