With the 22 acres at our disposal, we are lucky enough to have paddocks and enclosures that house a selection of farm animals including pigmy goats, chickens and ponies.
Children are shown early on how to care for and respect for all of our animals. Through the Farm School they can take part in Farm Club where they learn the skills of animal husbandry, practical animal handling and behaviour and health and nutrition. They also get to collect fresh eggs and have the chance to be involved in the designing and building of pens and fencing.
Children take care of the animals under the guidance of Miss Godwin, who is qualified in Animal and Zoo Management.
We also offer horse riding lesson at Stroud. It’s a rewarding and exciting sport that can be enjoyed by children aged between 6-13 and we welcome all abilities.
We are lucky enough to have our own ponies and onsite facilities that enable children to develop specialist skills and knowledge from their riding lesson. All are lesson are taught by British Horse Society (BHS) Qualified instructor Mrs Simmons who has more than 20 years’ experience within the industry.
