Autumn 2013 saw the establishment of our school farm. We have a 22 acre site which incorporates goats, horses, alpacas and hopefully soon… chickens.

We have two pigmy goats called Mars and Pluto. They are very playful and enjoy the company of the children and staff. The goats love their visits from the children, feeding and brushing them.

We have two Alpacas; Dodds and Noddy who are full of character and the children get great amusement from watching them play in the field. We have begun halter training them, and look forward to in the future taking them out on walks with the children.

The alpacas fleece is thick and warm; the children are going to use their fleeces in a felting workshop again this year once the alpacas have been to see the shearer.

We also have our two lovely ponies and within the school grounds is an all-weather riding arena. Our qualified instructor Helen Dawes visits the school regularly and teaches the children the fundamentals of riding. The children have great fun learning.

The children are shown how to care for and respect for all of our animals.
